WellFed is a trial of FREE ‘veg on prescription’. People who join WellFed get a free box of fresh, locally grown vegetables every week for 12 weeks. They also get support to use their veg, developing cooking confidence and skills in a small and friendly group. And there are opportunities to take part in other activities that can support health and wellbeing too.

At the moment, WellFed is a trial and is aimed at people who

  • have type 2 diabetes or
  • have pre-diabetes, also known as ‘non-diabetic hyperglycaemia’. This is when you are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
